No CPU connection to OBDII scanner

The power light is on the OBDII adapter while plugged into the usual slot. But no ECU communication is established as shown by the bluetooth connected smartphone.

you may have to reload the app that you are using, it may be a Bluetooth connectivity problem with your phone.

Jumping in here, I just wanted to say that most of those Bluetooth OBD2 scanners are junk and do not work correctly. I have one that someone gave me and it only works on my wife's 2006 V6 Saturn Vue. It will not connect to my 2002 Blazer, or my father-in-law's 2000 Chevy Lumina. All three have no trouble connecting to my other scanner (not a Bluetooth one). The reason for this is most of those Bluetooth scanners are cheap made in China knock offs, and not the original ones.
