For some reason the top brake light on the top of the hatch comes on, but the two main bottom brake lights do not come on.

I would cycle the hazard switch on and off about 10 times to see if the contacts clean up, if not the turn signal switch will need to be replaced. Here is how to fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I had to cycle Hazard switch quite a few times. I've had to do it again since then so it might be time for a new switch.
