Hello, so I was attempting to install a aftermarket sub and amp and I accidentally cut into the violet/red wire, which shows as the Aux Audio Enable, when I did it sparked. And ever since I ve had no audio whatsoever, and it is telling me my 911 assist has a fault. I have checked all fuses I am aware of, under hood, passenger area, and trunk fuses. I don't know what to do, I need my music I am in my car way too much not to have any. Please help.

The only violet/red wire that I see on these radios is for the B+ and ground for the radio. So we need to start with checking for 12 volts on this wire to the battery and then make sure there is a good ground.

You do this by using a test light and back probe the terminals 5 with the red lead and then 13 with the black lead. Then 6 and 14.

if you have 12 volts on both sets of wires then the circuit is intact. However, I suspect you will not so we need to then check the power and ground individually.

Back probe 5 and 6 and then use a known good ground with the black lead. Do you have 12 volts?

Then use the battery positive terminal and red lead, then back probe 13 and 14 and your meter should read 12 volts.

If the power and ground check out then the radio is shorted internally.

Below is the wiring diagram that will help with this. Please let us know if you have questions. Thanks
