Audio from the radio stopped working

My radio was working fine one day and the next there was no sound. I changed the radio to a Boss BE10ACP single din with a double din display. hooked everything up like normal and still no audio. i didn't do any work on the suburban before the audio stopped working.

It sounds like the head unit went bad (common) but to be sure lets check for power and ground for the system. here is a guide to help you with the radio wiring diagrams blow so you can see how the system works:
