Car will go in reverse, just fine with throttle but when you put it in drive, there’s no acceleration.

Hi,

When in drive, does the engine respond when you press the throttle? In other words, does it rev but the vehicle fails to move?

If that is the case, pay attention to the gear indicator lamp to make sure it is showing drive. Also, if you haven't already, make sure the fluid is clean and full.

Also, let me know if you checked for diagnostic trouble codes. If you have found any, let me know what they are.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

The code P0643 makes sense. It is related to the sensor power supply circuit. The idea that the throttle doesn't respond makes me think it may be either a wiring issue too or a problem with the accelerator pedal position sensor (APP). What I know is that the code can be set if there is a short to power or a short to ground. This can be an internal issue with the APP.

I attached information on the code as well as the diagnostics below. Take a look through them and let me know if it is something you are comfortable performing the tests.

Take care,

Joe
