New starter clicks like old one

1992 nissan v6 truck manuel trans, about a week ago my starter would just click and not start truck so I broke out the manuel. IT said check battery, I replaced with new one, then it said starter faulty which I replaced with new one and solenoid. Still just a click next it said bad positive and negative cables which I replaced and guess what click! So help please!

Bench test the starter, I have seen even new starters have been bad, if it is ok then check the voltage going to the starter with the starter in the car.
