I have a problem with no spark on the exuast side of a 24z 4 cylinder engine. I switched coils to check for integrety both coils are good. I get no stalls engine runs roughuntil high rpms and smooths out runs very rich at start up but I know it can run better if I can figure this out. Can you explain to me the steps to trouple shoot this problem. Thankyou for your time and answer.

You need to check the primary and secondary resistances on both coils. Also the pick-up coil should read 400 ohms. Both coil checks out -replace the IC unit.
