I have a 97 Nissan Sentra GXE with 129000 miles on it. occassionally there is a slight noise from the drivers side when it is moving and when it is breaking. maybe the brake pads need to be replaced but why does it make noise when it is moving?

The brake pads have a wear indicator that makes noise when the pads are ready to be replaced by rubbing the rotor. Replace the front pads and the noise will go with the old pads!
