I own a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 L, less than 80,000 miles. My car trouble started with losing my heat, then the cruise control would kick itself off and the light on the dash would flash. Then came the day it over heated. My BF checked the radiator hoses and the top was extremely hot and the bottom was cold. He sqeezed the bottom hose tryin to get flow through it. It got hot and off we went. Car didn't over heat, well that is until now. If the car is driven for more than 5 miles it the temp gauge shoots up then slowly falls. Its completely random because it'll even overheat at idel. Here's what has been done. New thermostat, radiator flush, new water pump, and new head gasket. still we have the same problem. The head is being checked for cracks and the radiator is being checked for clogs. Luckily for me I live in a family of machanics so this is all being charged at cost for the parts but does anyone have any ideas. the internet is filled with the sentras having this issue but i cant find what the resolution is. HELP!! I still owe 3 yrs on this car
