Air Conditioning problem

My a/c stops blowing cool air, even though the fan/blower continues. Seems to do it most when I have come to a stop and/or slowed considerably. Once I start moving again, it begins to blow cool again. Very infrequent as first, more often now. Since the air that blows when cool is plenty cool, and the fan that blows blows without interruption -- what the heck is causing this?
