Hi, my name is Jorrell. My car problem is, when im driving my car. When im driving my car i would press on the gas pedal, but i wont be able to rev or go faster. I can press the gas peddle all the way down but i wont go anywhere. The speed would stay at 20 mph. I would turn off my car and back on then it would work for awhile, but then it would do the same thing. I wont be able to press on the gas and go faster. Can you help me please

Hello,

It sounds like your vehicle might be in Limp Mode.
The limp mode gets activated in order to protect the engine. It can get triggered by number of issues that the vehicle might experience. It is usually a issue with the ECM or a critical sensor that provides signal to the ECM. When the ECM receives any signal that could be potential harmful to the engine the vehicle goes in to limp mode.

The Limp Mode can also be triggered for an issue with the transmission.

Any time the vehicle is in Limp Mode it will trigger the check engine light. So the first step would be to get the check engine light scanned to retrieve the trouble codes.
