When you try to crank the car it just spins and doesnt try to crank. I replaced the cam shaft sensor on top of the motor and it didnt do any good.

Hello

If I understand you correctly, when you turn the key, the engine spins rapidly... Not even a hint of cranking over?

Remove the oil servicing cap and see if you can see the lifters or rockers. Have someone try to start the car and see if the lifters are moving? If you can not see them, you need to remove one enough to see if anything is moving. If nothing is moving you have a broken timing belt.

Let me know how this goes.

Do you mean the engine turns but wont start? If so, try replacing the crank sensor too. If that doesnt work then theres a part called an ignition condensor that I think is unique to this engine. I had the same crank but no start problem, when I disconnected the condensor it started right up. Its taped into the wiring harness a couple of inches before the first coil. Cut open the tape and you should see a little brown box that looks like a relay, disconnect it and try to start the car, it should start right up. Unfortunately the evil people at nissan wont sell you the part, you have to buy the whole harness which is $900. Try to find one in a junkyard if you can.
