2002 Nissan Sentra 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my car seem to be running hot and the gauge dros back down to normal and then back up again over and over also heater is only working at times .

start by replacing thermostat and flushing the cooling system .. be careful of air pockets when refilling coolant
