2001 Nissan Sentra engine rev limiter comming on while driv

The rev limiter is comming on while driving. Only code is idle control mlfg. But idles fine. Could it be speed sensor? Will donate with correct answer.

The problem is not a rev limiter. Somthing is making the car go into failsafe mode. Start with the engine codes. Clear codes then drive intill check engine comes on and goes into failsafe mode then check items that come up
