small broken piece at bottom of oil dipstick tube, how can I get it out?

Hi there,

get a length of metal rod small enough to fit in the tube, magnetise it by rapping electrical wire around it a flashing it on a battery, (don't use your car battery while fitted in the car this may pick out the broken bit,
