My brakes dont work while i am in the Freeway, i have to pump them to get them to work properlly. They do stop while i am driving at the streets and they do stop at the stops and they dont drag. I noticed that before i turn on the car if i pump the brake petal it gets hard but as soon as i turn on the car the petal goes down and it feels weak. What do i need to fix or cahnge?

Hello !!

Check the master cylinder and replace it if faulty...push the brake pedal with the engine off with not too much pressure and see if the pedal goes slowly to the floor if so, the master cylinder its bad, replace it, if not could be air in the system (spongy brakes) bleed the lbrake lines.

Good Luck!
