I burned my accelerator cable trying to hit my starter to get it starter. I burned the cable wire. I wanted to know around how much it would cost to change an accelerator cable, and about how long would it take. I live in NYC. I need a min-max price I may expect. Thank you.

Around where I live it will cost about $40 for the cable. The book lists 1.2 hours of labor, which you can do yourself. The only hard part is to snake the cable through the firewall with the grommet firmly attached to the firewall.
