Noises problem
1997 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 110,00 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, i have a squeaking problem from the belt area of the car. I have replaced both belts and the squeaking is still there more so than before. A friend told me that it might be the idler pulley making the noise so i went and bought one. Did i just waste my money or could that be the cause of the noise because i have never heard of someone having a problem with the idler pulley, just the belt tensioner.

An idler pulley bearing can squeal, or if the bearing is seizing it can cause even a new belt to squeal.
