1997 Nissan Sentra annoying squeaking

Recently i bought a 1997 nissan sentra. The car drives great with the exception of this annoying squeaking coming from the engine. when i turn the car on there is no sound, however when i shift in reverse, here comes the noise. It does this throughout the drive. Funny though is when i have the car in park there is no noise but when i push the a/c button the sound returns. Can you help?

Hi phil,

If the noise is not present with the AC off while driving too, then you need to check the AC compressor, belting and pulleys.
