Noises problem
1996 Nissan Sentra Automatic 28000 miles
I drive a 96 Nissan Sentra. About a month ago it started making this squeaky noise. At first I thought it was the brakes or maybe an oil change. I took it to a repair shop and I was told that the brakes will need replacing in a couple months but nothing else was wrong with it. Well, the reason i don't believe the brakes are the cause of the noise is because the only time the car DOESNT make the noise is when I apply the brakes. It is especially loud when in reverse and when idle. but when I drive or when I brake the car sounds fine. A friend of mine suggested the exhaust manifold was rusted through because its a vibrating squeaky noise towards the front of the vehicle so maybe the exhaust is vibrating against it.. but i had the exhaust replaced last year. I really have no idea what this mystery noise may be.
