1994 Nissan Sentra Smoke from exhaust

I have just recently started seeing black smoke come from my exhaust when I accelerate from a stop. I don't see it all the time.
What might be causing this?

Black smoke usually indicates incomplete combustion or too rich a fuel mixture. Maybe a leaking fuel injector.
