1992 Nissan Sentra How To replace the alternator

Hi Guys, I would like to get advice on the proper steps I need to take to replace my alternator in my 92 nissan sentra. It looks rather easy, but i'm not a mechnic but i'm pretty handy. Just want to know if there are any tricks I need to know, belt removal & replacement etc.
I apprieciate your help.

Hi Dave Dillen,

Thank you for the donation.

This is a straight forward job with no tricks involved.
Disconnect battery negative terminal.
Disconnect the wireharness coupler and main terminal.
Loosen adjuster bolt and pull on alternator belt to gain access for removing the belt.
Remove the holding and adjuster bolt and alternator can be taken out.
Reverse procedure for installation and adjust belt tension accordingly.

You're welcome.

The alternator bracket distance is equipped with a floating bush. Use a bar and hammer to tap the bush to enlarge the bracket distance to allow easier installation of the alternator onto its seat. That would save you the trouble of trying to wiggle the alternator onto its seated position.
