1.CORROSION DAMAGE WITHIN 150MM OF LEFT 'A' PILLAR, DO I REPLACE THIS OR GET IT WELDED OR CAN I FIX IT BY REPLACING WHOLE 'A' PILLAR?
2. LEFT STEERING RACK BOOT SPLIT & FLUID LEAK FROM POWER STEERING RACK. WHAT IS A STEERING RACK BOOT AND CAN IT BE FIXED & HOW CAN I FIX LEAK? CAN I BUY SECOND HAND PARTS AND REPLACE THEM? THANKS

Hi etane,

If the corrosion is not too big an area, welding would be a better choice.

The power steering rack needs to be rebuilt to rectify the leak. You can change the assy which would be faster.

Steering rack boot are the bellows at both end of the steering rack for protecting the rack from dirt, water etc.
