I see service engine soon on my dash board, Engine oil and filter has been replaced, yet the message is still on the dash board and emmission while driving, white smoke and some rattling around the exhaust side, what might these be?

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
