Took my car to mechanic to repair anything before a long trip. He replaced serpentine belt that was not squealing before. Now squeals everytime it starts. Took it back, he tightened belt (twice). Had someone else look at it. Belt was frazzled & was replaced again. Stopped sqealing for about a month. Now squeals everytime!!! I am trying to sell my car. What can I do without sinking more money into it?

The belt starts to squeal after you have replaced the old one, and the old one never squeal before. So pulley alignment is least likely. The most likely will be belt adjustment I'm sending routing and adjustment of the belt for your-3.5L engine, and the belt tension /deflection specification.

Can you send me the same routing and adjustment diagrams? I have a 2001 pathfinder and have the same exact problem. Thank you.
