Hi suprodn, thank you for the donation. Does the display on your radio say anything or is the screen blank? Is there anything else that is not working? Have you checked your fuses? Was there any sparks or did anything go wrong while changing the battery? Let me know.

Cigirette lighter didn't work. All fuses good checked with meter. Unhooked battery for a couple of minutes and when battery was hooked back up radio came on and lighter worked. Would like feedback on why this happened.

When you disconnected the battery the first time and hooked it back up did the radio display anything? Also when you hooked the battery back up was the key in the ignitionand if so was it on? Most likely what happen was that your radio has an anti theft device inside of it and it thought it was being stolen. What did you do differently when you disconnected the battery and hooked it up the second time?

The battery was installed the first time by autozone. I didn't take the vehicle for the battery replacement. I think probaly that the key wasn't in the switch at autozone. When I unhooked the battery the key was in the ingition. The cig lighter also wasn't working and is now. What role does the lighter play in this.

The cig lighter and the radio share a circut and run on the same fuse.
