Noises problem
1991 Nissan Pathfinder 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Ok i just replace the oil pump on my pathfinder. I put everything back together and when i started it up i heard like this knocking noise coming from the engine. When it idles it isnt that loud but when i press the accelerator it gets louder. The oil pump was bad in it previously. I was just curious if that would have something to do with it. If it is because it didnt have oil getting to it before and it needs to run for a little bit then i will do that but i didnt want to run it if it something that will further harm the vehicle. Thank you very much for the help.

Weak oil pump pump can be causing it to knock due to low oil pressure
