I have a 2004 Nissan Murano with 32,000 miles. I took it in for an oil change today at the dealership and they strongly recommended flushing and changing the fluid in the power steering system. Cost was an additional $90. I am starting to think it was a scam. Growing up we just added and never completely changed to fluid in the system unless there was a part failure. Is there a general rule on how oftern to change the fluid in the Power steering system?

thanks

i dont really flush it unless there is air in the system, or dirt or the fluid is no longer any good, but you dont have to replace it for the life of the vehicle, but the flush will never harm it any, and i guess you can consider it preventative measures.
