I have a 1.5 Nissan Almeira. I year ago I replaced the front shaft and CV joints due to previous owner bad workmanship replacing a burned out clutch. However I had the front tyres replaced and the balanced last week. This week I noted a "cracking / clicking" noise when I turned the car out of the drive (to left). It sounds like the noise I heard before I discovered the problems with the 2 front joints - which cost me 1500 euro to replace (incl. Labour). The car has been serviced in last 5 weeks and was driving fine. After the noise started a few days ago I also noted a slight vibration in the steering wheel. It gets worse when I increase speed. The noise seems to be coming from the passenger side of the car at the back. Please help, as it cost me a lot of time and money to identify the previous CV problem and I have spent a fortune on this car already.I'm dreading another serious issue. Please advise.

Hi there,

If you feel the vibration in the steering, the main problem will be in the front wheels, so get the steering & suspension checked and also the wheel balance and have the tyres checked for a fault, start there.
