2000 Other Nissan Models 2000 Quest left front wheel locking

2000 Other Nissan Models

I have 2000 Nissan Quest and the left front wheel is locking and causing the caliper to smoke. Has anyone heard of this or seen it in the past?

I do believe it is the other way around. Your caliper fails, probably the piston has seized, and now it is riding on the rotor, causing the smoke. You have to replace the caliper and brake pad, and possibly the rotor.
