1996 Other Nissan Models Fuel Gage is not working

I short the cable on fuel tank then clock hand of fuel gage goes up it means there is not problem in clock

also fuel alaram led is on while my fuel tank is full.

Hi there.

you have done the correct test. The sender unit in the fuel tank is faulty.

Hi there,

You will have to replace the sender in the tank, it will not be reparable, undo the fuel lines and electrical connections, undo locking ring or remove bolts and lift unit clear of tank, be careful as you may have to maneuver it out because of the fuel level float.
