1995 Other Nissan Models Manual 116000 miles

i am having starting problems with the micra. Sometimes, when i put the fob under the immobilser light, the sound comes but when i turn the key, the car wont start? I have to attempt this about 3 or 4 times before it will start. what could be the problem?

check the ignition switch and starter motor and wiring !
