1988 Other Nissan Models No dash lights or tail lights

hi there
i own a 1988 nissan cefiro 6cyl
recently i noticed my dash lights and tail lights were sometimes not working, sometime they would come on after 10 mins of driving sometimes not.
now they never work.
i have checked all my fuses, checked my bulbs checked the fuses under the hood had a look at the wires connecting to the ignition switch and cant see any sign of wear/damage.
i am at a complete loss as what i have missed
any help would be greatly appreciated

check all ground connnections !
