1988 Other Nissan Models crank shaft bolt

I have a 98 quest van , timing chain broke, how do I stop engine from turning to loosten pully bolt.is there a tool I can rent? thank you

Hi there,

Take the starter motor out and use a large pinch bar to lock the ring gear at the block, you will be an assistant to hold it while you undo the bolt.
