1983 Other Nissan Models Four Wheel Drive Manual 142000 miles

My 1983 Nissan Pick-up truck has a constant chime-chime ringing sound after I put the key in the ignition. It does not go off until I remove the key. What might this be?

Hi there,

from memory some of these early cars had these chimes set up so you would not lock the keys in the car, it was a reminder to take the key.

So how do I get the thing to stop chimming. It never goes off.

HI there,

I would say that the relay is stuck, there chimes are buried beep in the dash, the problem that i have is that the data base i have access to via Mitchel 1 dose not go that far back in models i will see if any other mod had information for you, i will post a note in our internal forum,
