Hi
My Nissan keeps backfiring, when i am driving and i take my foot of the excelarator it backfires.

I have changed the plugs,rotor,points.

About a month ago when it was 40 degrees i started my ute and a load bang came from the exhaust which blew a hole in the muffle.

I want to get a knew one put on but i am worried it will blow a hole in it again

Thankyou for any advice that you could give me heaps appreciated

Check the ignition timing and for leaking plug wires

I have found two leads that have to slight cuts in them i will change them.
Then maybe the backfire will stop
