Spark plugs that were too long were fitted when I had my car serviced. When the mechanics tried to start the car they found that it wouldn't. They changed the battery and carried on trying. I believe that this series off events has caused some serious damage to my car.

Can someone please tell me everything that has to be either repaired or replaced to ensure that the engine is repaired properly?

Cheers.

Hi there,

The head will have to come off and the pistons will have to be inspected for damage, normally with this problem the spark plug will shatter first and there will be ceramic shards in the engine, i feel that they will have to at a min remove the pistons and check them for cracking.
