Steering difficulties after car sits

I have a 1995 Maxima SE with over 232,000 miles on it. Recently, when it is cool outside or if the car sits about a day in moderate temperature, the car is very difficult to steer for a couple of minutes. Do you have any idea what this could be?

Classic rack and piniion failure. Check the color of you power steering fluid, I bet it is a gun powder gray. Don't drive it too long as it may lock up and then you will be in deep do-do!
