My 93 Maxima was in a flood. Water came up to the hood, but not over it. When the water receded, the car started right up. I haven't driven it since. I don't want to ruin the engine. I know that it runs rough. I think the rotor needs to be replaced, and the oil changed. What else should I look at before driving it again? Is replacing the rotor something the average person can do? Thanks :roll:

A lot depends on how long how high and was it salt water, at this point you own what the insurance companies refer to a a salvage, some survive some don't...Drying out is the key...disconnect your battery and use some comressed air to blow dry the connectors...good luck! Rotors are under the distributor cap, easily changed, just line up the tab on the rotor with the groove in the distributor shaft...
