should my car be idiling at lower rpm's when its warmer as apposed to when its cold

The car will idle slightly faster when cold, but will step down when it warms up, this is controlled by an idle control motor if you feel the warm idle is to low, have this check by a dealer as the idle stepper motor may be faulty.
