I bought this car from a reputable dealer. I was told that I needed to use synthetic oil for oil changes and would only have change the oil every 10k miles if I use synthetic oil. Is this correct? Do I need to use synthetic oil and if so, have it done every 10k miles?

don't believe i would go 10,000 miles with the same oil.. if you use full synthetic blends then i would suggest having the oil replaced every 7,500 miles.
