The AC has completely stopped working. I have had it in the garage about 6 times and the mechanic is unable to figure out what is wrong. It worked for a while refilling with freon but then it just stopped working at all. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem. He has tried replacing a 'switch' whatever that is, replaced the AC hose which he thought was leaking, and now has ordered a part but of course I was not informed as to the specifics. Please help! I paid close to $30 grand for this car and it has been nothing but a pain in the rear. Never again.

Hello,

This vehicle has a pressure sensor for the refrigerant. It detects the refrigerant level for the A/C system. If that sensor is bad then it will prevent the compressor from coming on.
That sensor is located on the upper part of the condenser (see diagram).

Another possibility is the AC clutch relay being bad. That relay control the clutch and is located under the hood fuse box (IPDM) on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
Check the relay for corrosion or burnt pin.
You can also test the relay.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
