how do you change the engine belt on a 2005 maxima.

Remove undercover with power tool.
Remove alternator and power steering oil pump belt by loosening the idler pulley lock nut located between the alternator and crankshaft pulley.
Remove A/C compressor belt by loosening the idler pulley lock nut located between the crankshaft pulley and A/C pulley.

CAUTION
Grease is applied to idler pulley adjusting bolt. Be careful to keep grease away from belt.

To install, reverse removal procedure.
Tighten the following to specification:

Alternator and power steering oil pump belt idler pulley lock nut: 24-28 ft. lbs. (31-38 Nm). A/C compressor belt idler pulley lock nut: 24-28 ft. lbs. (31-38 Nm).
