Hi, i have a 2005 Maxima, and this started last year...I think, but I never had it looked at. The heater and everything works great when i"m driving, but when i park and just let it idle (i.e. waiting for someone, or with autostart) it blows out cold air until I crank up the RPM's again.

Any suggestions?

There's also a whole of some sort on the psngr side floor coming from the middle console area that appears to be letting outside air in, it's only noticible in the winter, any ideas on that either?

You most likely have a plugged up heater core. I would flush the entire system with a chemical and remove the 2 heater hoses to manually flush the heater core in both directions with a garden hose.
