Transmission problem
2003 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 61k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The clutch pedal goes right to the floor and stays there, clutch master cyl. is full of fluid and there are no apparant leaks. I removed the master cyl. and it seemed to be pumping but I replaced it anyway. The pedal still goes to the floor, so bleeding the system is difficult. I removed the slave and gave it a few pumps while in my hand and it too seemed to be pumping fine also. The clutch worked fine one day and two days later it goes right to the floor and stays there. Any ideas?

Hi there,

The hydraulic system for the clutch is very basic, I would be re checking for a faulty master cylinder, it would not be the first or last time a new cylinder failed, start there and if no good re post.
