serviced the car at the dealership only and they are saying the oil pan is stripped and needs replacing. should i be responsible

How did the oil pan got stripped and what kind of work were they performing down there-

Oil change or ?????

If its oil change they must have stripped the oil pan drain threads where the drain plug screw in or the bolt itself
