Could you please help us - The petrol gauge of our car is giving a wrong reading and, the near empty light no longer flashes. This problem occurred approximately 3 - 4 months ago.

Also, should this problem have been picked up, and fixed by the mechanic during the warrant check a month or so, ago?

Hi there,

This is usually a faulty tank sender unit. This is an electrical problem so it may not be covered by a used car warranty, you will have to check your policy.
