My gas guage stoped working then all of a sudden it just stopped what would cause this?

4 possibilities: fuse, wiring, the sending unit in the gas tank and the fuel gauge itself. Check the fuse panel, as that's easy (using test light or voltmeter, key on) and then the most likely failure is the gauge. (Unless you've run out of gas!)
