how do you know if the cadillac converter is stopped up? my gas mileage is bad and sometimes it sounds like my car is a race car its so loud and if it is the converter can it be unstopped

Find a shop with a gauge to measure exhaust backpressure.Thisis the best way to see without removing it.If the cat is partially plugged, it cant be cleaned out, it will need to be repalced
