1999 Nissan Maxima Hard Thump When Gears Engage

I am getting a hard thump when the gears engage. If I shift from "Park" to "Drive" the engine thumps very hard. Going from first to second, it will thump again. Then there will be a slight thump from second to third gear. I have had the transmission replaced. After the second trans was install and the same conditions exists, the conclusion was that it wasn't the transmission. I have had the engine mounts inspected. Only one shows some wear. What is left?

@ 240k I would have the mounts checked again.Rubber isolators only last so long, and at that mileage I would put my money on the mounts being worn out
